Ryman Healthcare is a leader in providing retirement living and aged care solutions. We have led the sector for over 40 years, with almost 50 villages across Australia and New Zealand.
Our set of guides are designed to give you an introduction to life at Ryman, and showcase our independent and assisted living options.
GET YOUR GUIDESThe right time to retire is unique to every individual - we all want to get different things out of life at different stages.
In Australia, the pension age is 65, so this may be a point where you decide to pull back from work, rethink where you’d like to live, and enjoy a retirement lifestyle unencumbered by the 9-5 grind. Your health needs can often influence the decision as well, whether it’s because you’d like some extra help in the present or you’re thinking ahead to the future.
To retire with confidence, you need financial certainty. We're transparent about our costs, offering options to fit your ideal retirement lifestyle. No matter which option you choose, you'll know exactly what you're paying and what you'll receive in return.
Understanding the tax implications of moving into a retirement village is also important.
We’re here to make the transition as smooth as possible, and to answer any questions you may have. We also encourage you to seek independent advice.
Choosing Ryman means embracing retirement living, your way. In our villages, you’ll find the perfect blend of independence and community, with premium amenities, award-winning services, and a range of care options. Discover a retirement filled with opportunity and a lifestyle that brings you joy.
Our independent and assisted-living residents live in spaces designed to inspire, indulge, and entertain. Grab a coffee in the village café, have fun in the pool, and catch up with friends at Happy Hour. Search for a Ryman village near you to see amenities available in your local village.
At Ryman, you won’t pay an additional Deferred Management Fee or an additional entry payment if you transfer from one of our independent living units to assisted living in a serviced apartment. Plus, there are no transfer fees.
In Ryman villages, along with independent and assisted living, we offer residential aged care (both low and high care), specialist dementia care and respite care. We are an approved provider of Home Care packages.
Transition to retirement with peace of mind. Ryman Healthcare is a leading provider of retirement living and aged care in Australia. We offer several unique advantages:
Ryman residents enjoy transparency in costs, with no hidden fees. The deferred management fee is capped, providing financial peace of mind.
Ryman provides a continuum of care, from independent living to specialist dementia care, ensuring residents can age in place comfortably.
Ryman promotes a vibrant community atmosphere.
Ryman embraces innovative technologies like eCabs for transportation and the myRyman Care app for personalised care.
Often referred to as a departure fee or exit fee, the deferred management fee is an amount that becomes payable when you permanently vacate your village unit. The deferred management fee gives you the right to occupy your unit and enjoy the village amenities. It is calculated as a percentage of the entry fee that you pay when you move into your unit.
We know how important it is for you to have certainty regarding your living costs.
We guarantee that we will not increase your base weekly fee for the entire time you occupy your apartment or villa at the village, regardless of any changes to the operating costs at the village.
Enjoy modern and spacious apartments and villas. These homes feature full kitchens and come in one, two and three-bedroom options, perfect for entertaining guests and the freedom to come and go as you please.
Assisted living in a serviced apartment includes support to make life easier, such as housekeeping and delicious chef-prepared meals. It’s independence in the sanctuary of your own apartment with support you can count on.
Ryman low-level care is customised to your needs. We can assist you with showering and dressing, administering medicines and more – it simply depends on whatever your needs are at that time.
Ryman high-level care is the best option if you have any chronic health conditions or need full assistance to move around. We can help with showering and dressing, medications, wound care, incontinence, and any other care you need.
Our focus is on experience-based care rather than processes, enabling residents to live in the moment, and to feel kindness, love and security. Residents are securely supported to continue doing the things that bring them joy and a sense of fulfilment.
Respite care is temporary care in a range of circumstances. You may need some rehabilitation after a hospital stay, or perhaps a little extra help for a while – whether it’s for a single night or a few weeks.
When people visit our villages, they often tell us they feel the difference. There’s something in the way our residents and village teams interact, their energy and enthusiasm. Add beautiful homes, a bustling social calendar, and premium amenities and you’ll understand why our village communities are described as thriving.
Moving into a retirement village is a big decision, so we invite you to come and see for yourself. We’re here to help, so reach out to us for more information or to schedule a visit to one of our villages.
And if, after considering your options, you find that a Ryman village is the right choice for you, welcome, we're sure you'll love it here.
