All the usual activities are still available, plus the Enhanced Activities Programme gives you the chance to have your say in the enhanced activity and event options offered in your village.

We want to hear what you'd like to do – from your firm favourites to out-of-the-box ideas! Have you always wanted to learn to dance, try yoga or meditation, or maybe take some art classes?
We want to give you the opportunity to try fun, new, and adventurous experiences outside of the village too. How about driving a racing car, completing a tandem skydive, going to a sporting event, taking a trip to the theatre? Or is there a destination you’ve always wanted to visit?

You're getting a new Resident Experience Team at the village. They'll hold focus groups with independent residents to get your ideas and deliver the Enhanced Activities Programme to you.

The handy Ryman Resident App lets you manage your village lifestyle from your own device. Staying up to date with Ryman notices and creating a personal calendar of your favourite village events and activities just got a whole lot easier!
View upcoming events and activities as soon as they’re launched. Screen tap those that spark your interest, learn more about them, and add them to your village calendar. You can also attend virtual events directly from the app.
Just like reading the daily news headlines or checking the weather forecast, using the Ryman Resident App will become second nature. Even if you’re a novice, you might be surprised at how much you use the app and by how much convenience it brings to your daily life.
The app is easy to install and use, and we provide technical support to get you started.
Stay up to date with village news, articles, and notices. Village updates are displayed on the home screen and can be scrolled through. Any important notices are highlighted on the home screen and pinned to the top for easy viewing. Other notices such as articles of interest are also available.
If you have your phone or tablet with you, you have your calendar! All the village events and activities planned for the month are displayed in the village calendar. You can scroll through the different events and activities and view details including time, place and whether bookings or payment are required.
Save events or activities you are interested in to create your own personal calendar. Any event saved for that day will display on your home screen as a helpful reminder. Your device will send you a notification one hour before a saved event begins.
You can join virtual events straight from the app at the tap of a screen. No matter where you are, you'll never need to miss a virtual event you're interested in.
Using the app instead of printed calendars means using less paper, which is good news for our beautiful planet.
Don’t worry, it’s your choice whether you have the Ryman Resident App or not. You'll still receive a printed calendar and village updates via flyers or email, and you can continue to use the paper sheets to book events.

When I rise in the morning I just go in and have a look. Any notifications, anything I need to know about, I check the calendar and see what’s happening. It’s easy to use, therefore it’s something I do automatically now. Get on it and use it, it is something we can help each other with.
